January Recap: Rainy Days, Amazon Finds & a New Ride

It was a long, heavy, heart-with-LA, dreary January. The post-holiday lull mixed with all the sadness on the news made for a slower, more introspective month. But there were bright spots, too: getting back into the school routine with the kids, new ponies, and digging back into designing the house.

It was a month of small wins and shifts. I solo-parented for five days (single parents, I bow down), started riding a new horse (Leo, he’s a 17.2 hand dreamboat!!), and workshopped my 2025 business goals. A still secret project for the house is at the top of that list, and while I lost some momentum over the holidays, I’m now in full design mode.

Some of my fav finds of the month, not planned (and not sponsored!) were from Amazon. This fuzzy cardigan was January’s hit, as was this roundup of home pieces under $50. I shared my winter skincare lineup and revealed the guest room (I just love how rich and cozy it turned out.) You guys also loooooved this $28 sweatshirt. Such a find.

Here’s to February— and hopefully a little more lightness all around. xx
