The Next Chapter: My Second Collection With TAL

There’s a specific kind of quiet that happens when a child is learning to read. It’s slow. Finger under each word. Sounding things out, then going back to the start of the sentence to hear it all together. Navy is right in the middle of it this fall, and I’ve found myself sitting a little closer, talking a little less, just listening. That’s where this collection started. When we began dreaming up our second water bottle drop with Tal Hydration & Walmart, I kept coming back to the idea of chapters. The one Navy is opening right now, where letters turn into words and words turn into stories that belong to her. And the one I’m in as her mom, watching her find something I’ve loved my whole life.

So we built a little library around our water bottle collection.Painted book spines. Shelves and drawers in every colorway. Stripes stacked on stripes. (Since you guys loved the stripes from the last collection!!) I wanted it to feel nostalgic and lived-in, a bit of old Americana, but with the bold color and symmetry you’d see in a Wes Anderson frame.

If you had a water bottle from our first drop, you already know the functionality of these bottles !! Nothing changed on the inside. They’re the same bottle with the same 32 oz, leak-proof design, and they still hold up to a full day of being tossed in a bag, stay cold after being left in the car, and are easily carried around by kids of any age. Plus - the paracord! So many of you told us the strap was your favorite part of the last collection, so we kept that on our striped bottles... The handle hangs off the top so you can grab it and go. It’s easy to hook on a finger, loop over a stroller, or hang off the back of a chair while you read.
